Staplehurst Carnival 2010

We again organised the annual draw for the Staplehurst Carnival on 26th June. With great weather for a successful and enjoyable event, the draw raised nearly £700 for local charities.
Half of the funds raised goes to the Sobell Lodge Cheshire Home in Staplehurst, with the remainder to the Staplehurst Carnival funds and the Lions Club.
Our thanks go to the local organisations who sponsored the many prizes for the draw.

Duck Race 2010

Our annual Duck Race took place this year on 23 May, raising around £1000 for the Hospice in the Weald. Our thanks to The Man of Kent in East Peckham which was once again the venue, where the hundreds of plastic ducks bobbled along the River Bourne to the finish line.

2010 Duck Race.

Our annual duck race event takes place this year on Sunday 23rd May at the Man of Kent pub at 2:00pm. Proceeds again this year will go to the Hospice in the Weald. Sales of Ducks for the race started this weekend at the Hop Farm for the opening of their Tea Rooms and Garden Nursery, and will continue in Paddock Wood on the weekends leading up to the race.
