We help individuals, families, organisations, clubs, societies and other charities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We usually raise and spend \u00a330,000 to \u00a335,000 a year supporting those in need right across oue area &#8211; from Yalding to Lamberhurst , Five Oak Green to Staplehurst and everwhere between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For data protection reasons, we cannot list all of the individual donations and amounts made but to give a sample of just some the causes or type of help we are able to offer, some examples are listed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Over the past few years Paddock Wood &amp; District Lions Club has:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pledged over \u00a37,000 to support the fuel poverty work of the Paddock Wood Community Advice Centre.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donated cash to support the Paddock Wood Community Storehouse food bank and the Marden Food Bank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donated seveal thousand pounds in the form of \u00a350 vouchers to deserving families to help with the cost of school uniforms, notably when pupils are transferring to secondary school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donated over a thousand pounds to support deserving children with the cost of participating in character-forming school trips.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supported a family to benefit from Dandelion Time family therapy and emotional support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Purchased carpets, furniture, white goods and household items to a number of deserving families and individuals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donated over \u00a31,300 to enable deserving children to benefit from attending pre-school for more time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donated \u00a31,000 to Dementia groups and to enable the elderly to go on trips and outings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supported social meetings for those hard of hearing arranged by Hi Kent in Staplehurst.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Being a Lions Club means we are quite unique in who we can offer support or help to \u2013 which is&nbsp;anyone.
