{"id":1747,"date":"2025-09-18T10:29:18","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T10:29:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paddockwoodlions.co.uk\/?p=1747"},"modified":"2025-10-17T11:52:28","modified_gmt":"2025-10-17T11:52:28","slug":"our-busy-summer-and-winters-looking-busy-too","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paddockwoodlions.co.uk\/?p=1747","title":{"rendered":"Our busy Summer, and Winters looking busy too!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To support the many requests for help we get &#8211; both from needy individuals and families alongside groups serving their communities &#8211; we continuously need to raise funds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the last few months we&#8217;ve been doing just that <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>with the great help of many local pubs, restaurants and businesses, we organised Easter Egg draws<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>we supported 2 events in Horsmonden ( by the way,  if you think we can support your local event we&#8217;d be delighted if you got in touch with us)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in early July we put on (again!) Rockin in the Rec &#8211; the annual free music festival in Paddock Wood <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>this was followed a day later by the annual Paddock Wood Carnival<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at the end of July we were all out again &#8211; this time at our annual East Peckham run.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>through July and August we asked the public to sponsor ducks for our annual duck race<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Upcoming soon will be<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the Santa Sleigh runs both in Paddock Wood and other villages &#8211; look out for when Santa will be visiting your neighbourhood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a &#8216;Big Quiz&#8217; night &#8211; details are being arranged but likely to be in early 2026, and in Paddock Wood<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We are hoping to arrange a &#8216;Night of Variety&#8217;, featuring magician, music and more.
