Ordinary People – Amazing Things
WHO ARE WE?
- Local people from all walks of life, currently around 18 members.
- Part of a much larger organisation with over a million members worldwide
WHAT DO WE DO?
- We act as a charity, organising many fund raising events like the Paddock Wood Carnival, Annual Duck Race and Santa’s Sleigh at Christmas time.
- Most of the funds raised are spent on local worthy causes but we also support many National and International Lions projects
- We enjoy socialising ( can include our families and partners)
WHY DO WE DO IT?
- We believe that no matter what our own circumstances are there is always someone somewhere who is worse off and would welcome a bit of help
- We like to meet old friends and make new ones.
HOW DO WE DO IT?
- By giving some of our time. . . . . . .
- Time to shake a tin
- Time to do something for those who need some help
- Time to talk to people
- Time to socialise
We are always looking for new members (men and women of any age) or people who just want to help.
