Heres what Pauline Roestenburg, who is chair of the group, told us…

“Chalkdown Riding for the Disabled Association, Staplehurst, would like to say a massive thank you to Paddock Wood & District Lions for their generous donation.   Every week Chalkdown RDA helps dozens of participants to experience the therapeutic benefits of riding.   With the support of The Lions the Group has been able to buy a pair of special magnetic stirrups and insoles which are attached to the saddle and help to keep the riders’ feet and legs in the correct position.    Just after getting the stirrups, a Chalkdown rider used them in the Regional RDA Competition at the Hickstead International Showground.  This is one of the highlights of the RDA calendar and Chalkdown would like to thank The Lions for helping to make it possible.”
